Nassau Candy, a manufacturer of specialty and private-label confections, plans to introduce new size and packaging options for its Clever Candy Gumball Assortment at the 2024 Sweets & Snacks Expo.
Building upon the launch of the Clever Candy 850-count single-color and single-color shimmer bulk lines at the 2023 Sweets & Snacks Expo, four new bulk gumball sizes join the 850-count option. According to Nassau Candy, all of the new gumball size offerings will come assorted in a rainbow of primary colors and fruit flavors. The complete line of new Clever Candy Gumball size options include:
- 850 count (1 inch) — For professional gumball machines
- 1,900 count (0.73 inch) — For additional vends from 850-count size professional gumball machines
- 3,650 count (0.61 inch) — For vintage and new carousel gumball machines
- 5,800 count (0.53 inch) — For home gumball machines
- 8,500 count (0.47 inch) — The smallest gumball size available. For machines that vend a handful of candy.
According to Nassau Candy, these Clever Candy Gumball Assortment additions accommodate the different ways gumballs are dispensed and merchandised.
“Our single-color and single-color shimmer bulk gumballs have been so well-received in the industry, but they’re only a portion of the applications for gumballs,” says Andrew Reitman, executive vice president of National Brand Confections for Nassau Candy. “With the new size additions to our Clever Candy Gumball line, Nassau Candy now has the widest assortment of gumball sizes and colors — including shimmer — available.”
In addition to the new size options, Nassau Candy has also released 2-pound laydown bags filled with its single-color and single-color shimmer 850-count gumballs.
According to Nassau Candy, the smaller packaging option of Clever Candy’s single-color and single-color shimmer bulk gumballs allows retailers without a bulk program to supply customers with gumballs for candy buffets or favor bags. This size is also a great option for event planners for small-scale events.
“Single-color candies like gumballs are a favorite for candy buffets as well as favors for weddings, showers and birthday parties,” Reitman says. “Our new 2-pound laydown bags of our Clever Candy single-color and single-color shimmer gumballs allows consumers to have the single-colored candy they want for their special events without the investment in bulk displays for retailers.”

Nassau Candy will showcase these new options at Booth #11002 at the event, which takes place May 14-16 in Indianapolis. The new Clever Candy bulk gumball sizes are in stock and shipping. The 2-pound laydown bags of Clever Candy 850-count single-color and single-color shimmer gumballs will be shipping in the coming months.
