The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, has unveiled a new look to its museum store this summer. The newly renovated museum store is designed to transition the space from a traditional retail shop into a high-energy, immersive extension of basketball culture and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame museum experience.
The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame says the redesign was driven by a vision to create a more memorable and engaging environment that reflects the spirit of basketball. New components in the store are inspired by iconic elements of the game, including arena entrances, jumbotron graphics, championships, team locker rooms, player storytelling and the textures synonymous with basketball.

The museum also took inspiration from evolving structures, artwork and the excitement of the game of basketball today. The transformation represents the hall of fame’s continued investment in preserving basketball’s legacy while creating an all-around experience designed to inspire visitors, serve the community and welcome future generations.
“The Basketball Hall of Fame Store serves as an extension of the stories, memories and passion that visitors experience throughout the museum,” says John L. Doleva, president and CEO of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. “This renovation was designed to create a more immersive and engaging environment that reflects the impact of basketball while enhancing the overall guest experience. We are thrilled to unveil a newly renovated space that showcases the game’s growth and its global impact while also inspiring fans to take a piece of the ‘Hall of Fame’ experience home with them.”
The remodeled store also introduces several experiential features. A new Champions Tunnel allows guests to enter the store through an arrival inspired by arena entrances, featuring bold graphics, basketball textures and sensory audio that evoke the excitement of game day. The Central Lounge experience offers a comfortable gathering space inspired by the energy of basketball culture, encouraging visitors to connect, engage and spend more time within the space. Additionally, the Locker Room Moments area draws inspiration from iconic team locker rooms, combining storytelling and retail to create a memorable backdrop for basketball legends, merchandise displays and guest photo ops.
“We are honored to serve as the retail partner of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and to unveil this newly reimagined store experience,” says Jerry Gilbert, chief marketing officer and principal at Event Network. “The reimagined retail space was created through a shared vision to reflect the passion, energy and history of the game. From the immersive design elements to our expanded merchandise offerings, every detail was thoughtfully developed to connect fans more deeply with the game they love.”
The reopening also introduces exclusive merchandise offerings, such as the debut of the “Buckets in Bloom” collection that was created in collaboration with designer Fiorella Granda. The collection is only available through the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Museum Store. Future product releases will include special collections tied to the 2026 Enshrinement Class and festivities as well as other basketball-inspired experiences throughout the year.
