Astra Marketplace & Academy 2026 is planning to bring together industry leaders, retailers and top brands for its specialty toy trade show and educational conference June 5-8 in Milwaukee. The four-day event features hundreds of exhibitors, hands-on product demonstrations and over 30 hours of expert-led educational programming designed to support retailers and industry collaboration.
Attendees coming in early for the show can take part in a Meet & Greet Reception June 4. The show kicks off June 5 with an opening educational session and keynote speaker, Dr. Michelle Thaller. The astronomer and former assistant director for science communication at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center will share how play and creative thinking are embedded in NASA’s culture and how honoring every idea and individual helps teams push boundaries and solve challenges.
Astra will also debut an all-new Astra Toy App this year, available on iOS and Android, giving members access to the floor plan, agenda and exhibitor profiles. The app will also introduce on-site engagement opportunities, including the debut of the Digital Raffle, where members can earn entries for a chance to win a full ride to the 2027 Marketplace & Academy through activities.
The event will also feature its Astra Star Awards Gala on June 6 to highlight the Play Awards winners, honoring standout toys and games that spark creativity, learning and fun across all age groups. This year’s finalists represent exceptional products across a wide range of play categories, including Active Play, Arts & Crafts, Card Games, Family Games and more. The event will also recognize a new Hall of Fame inductee, Retailer of the Year and additional industry achievements.
