At Post Road Supply Co. in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Owner Caroline Olson packs her main display table with a wide variety of men’s gifts and souvenirs to show the store’s breadth. The fun displays certainly capture attention. But on top of eye-catching displays, Olson says she always makes sure that her display table feels “shoppable.”

The display table always has some extra items that are easily accessible to grab on top or on the side.

“Sometimes a store’s display is so beautiful that you feel you can’t shop them,” she says. “You don’t want customers to feel like if they pick something up then the display will fall apart!”
