Whitney Howard Designs, in collaboration with the not-for-profit Connecting a Caring Community (CCC) organization, delivered Blessing Rings to over 5,000 nurses to celebrate Nurses Week, which was observed May 6 through May 12, 2020. Whitney Howard Designs’ Blessing Rings are versatile charms that express inspiring messages.

CCC Co-founder Lisa Schachtel Kodimer said in a press release that after the deliveries, she was “exhausted but my soul is fueled.” The charms were “a gift to express our gratitude and appreciation for the hard work they are doing.” “Nurses are heroes, they are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary.”

“Thank you West Hills Hospital and Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center Area, Providence Tarzana Medical Center, Valley Presbyterian Hospital, Kaiser Permanente Panorana City and Olive View-UCLA Medical Center for giving us an opportunity to give, love, grow. We are grateful for our partner hospitals and the great work they are doing to fight COVID-19,” Kodimer said in the release.

CCC mobilizes the community to become givers with programs that create a culture of giving back. “Today we helped to make that happen,” Kodimer said of the distribution of the Blessing Rings.
