Do You Sell Any Gifts that
Benefit Charitable Causes?
A Suraphong Liengboonlertchai, owner,
Simplicity Décor, Kirkland, Wash.:
At the moment, we are selling jewelry from Chavez for Charity. They commit to donate 25 percent of their sales to various nonprofits.
Charlene Tsirigotis, co-owner, The Apple Basket,
We sell several lines that benefit charities, such as Lokai Bracelets, Chavez for Charity and Nepal bracelets.
Patti Varga, owner, Cross Eyed Owl Gift Shop, Valatie, N.Y.:
We do sell some items that benefit charitable causes, such as the Chavez for Charity bracelets, but mainly we choose to do our charitable giving right here in our own community. We are very generous with donations to local groups for their fundraisers and raffles. …In addition to fundraiser donations, we sponsor a local little league team; collect food for the local food pantry, clothing for the Capital City Rescue Mission, and PJs and books for Christmas Pajama Promise; sponsor a local Stop Hunger Now food packing event; provide toys for the Salvation Army at Christmas; and sponsor the local Veteran's Run 5K and annual Crop Walk.
