JuneFest was high energy and and focused on popular Southeast categories.Atlanta Apparel’s “JuneFest” kept the energy high, June 6-9, 2023, at AmericasMart Atlanta, throughout four market days featuring enhanced at-market, festival-themed amenities and events alongside sourcing from 750+ showrooms and temporary exhibits. “Atlanta Apparel continues to raise the bar through its unmatched at-market experiences, Southern hospitality and notable line listings,” said Caron Stover, ANDMORE’s senior vice president, apparel. “There were many reports of strong order writing – especially across the game day category – and all market events were well-attended and extremely popular. This June, Atlanta Apparel showcased its 350+ permanent showrooms and 400+ temporary exhibits, with particular emphasis on popular southeastern categories, such as game day, as well as contemporary apparel, accessories, and young contemporary. Atlanta Apparel also continued to augment its at-market sourcing experience for buyers, with hallmark hospitality and a full schedule of “JuneFest” events, education and amenities. Exhibitors and buyers alike responded positively to the June edition’s product offerings and business opportunities, as well as a wealth of events and amenities that enriched the market experience. “This was a fantastic show for us; Town Pride is only two years old as a company and we opened many new accounts,” said exhibitor Tamara Moran, owner of Town Pride. “Buyers were coming to see our game day collection and ended up placing orders for our general town collections as well. The southeastern region responded so well to our line. Atlanta Apparel works very hard to generate some great energy, and the coffee, drinks and food all make a noticeable difference. This market was just an overall really fun experience.” Exhibitor Lorelei Miller, sales manager and account executive of TCEC, added, “Our booth has been busy since we opened with buyers sourcing gameday and outerwear. Atlanta is where we gauge reaction and figure out the next direction of our lines, and we are looking forward to continuing to connect with all the new accounts we brought in this market.” Showrooms reported a successful market as well, such as new contemporary brand La Fuori and contemporary and accessories showroom, Brianna Cannon. Day one of the market, Cannon took to Instagram to comment on the already-notable success of her new showroom. “The first day in our new Atlanta showroom has been a dream,” said Cannon, who also reported seeing many new and returning buyers support her in the brand’s new space. Buyers traveling into Atlanta Apparel to restock game day, finalize fall orders, and pick up immediates enjoyed Atlanta Apparel’s enhanced “JuneFest” event schedule. June market highlights included the Atlanta Apparel Kickoff Party, Bara Boheme Ear-Piercing Station, Build Your Own Initial Necklace Bar with Brenda Grands and ee:some DIY Game Day Bag. New buyer Deanna Bucy, owner of Darling Boutique in Pittsburgh, said, “I was able to source young contemporary and cash & carry to make sure I have all the products I need for my boutique’s October launch. All of the people in Atlanta – the suppliers, the other boutique owners and the staff – have been so helpful and added so much value to my trip. The entertainment and giveaways at market added even more to my overall experience.” Returning buyer Lori Taylor, owner of The Ivy on Pine in Fitzgerald, GA, added, “I have been souring at Atlanta Apparel for three years and we come to all five markets per-year. This market we are sourcing game day and fall with some immediates. We find everything we need in Atlanta, from apparel to accessories, and we even discover new lines every market.” The next Atlanta Apparel market runs Tuesday, August 1, through Saturday, August 5, at AmericasMart Atlanta, with temporary exhibits running August 1 – 3, and showrooms open by appointment on Saturday, August 5.
