Global Eye Wear Acquires Swibco

Global Eye Wear, an SRP Company, a leader in fashion sunglass programs, has announced the acquisition of Swibco on May 22, 2017.

Swibco, an industry leader in personalized products, will bring 30 years of souvenir experience to the Global Eyewear and SRP team. Global, based in Orlando, Fla., currently provides sunglasses to the resort tourist, mass and mid-tier markets.

The president and founder of Global Eyewear, Sanjay Srinivasan, started the company in 2007 with the idea that great customer service, quality products and fashion-forward styles will be the cornerstone of success. The addition of Swibco will only help to reinforce that ideal.

“Combining both companies’ customer service, distribution and marketing strategies will only strengthen our ability to better serve our clients,” said Srinivasan. “We are excited to welcome the Swibco team and the wealth of experience John Isaacson and his team brings,”he added.

John Isaacson, EVP of Global Swibco, has led the way in the industry by introducing new, innovative products to the market year after year.

SJT Enterprises Reports Strong ASD Show

Shown, from left to right: Paul Weinberger, Florida; Norm Louis, Northern California; Keith Winstone, the Oregon coast; Karen Squatritto, Las Vegas; SJT President Tim Smith; and Frank Creemers, kneeling, Michigan.

After a slow start, SJT Enterprises reported one of their best-ever ASD shows. The company had several of their reps from across the country in the booth, and there were times during order writing when there were people waiting in the aisle.

“The show started out slowly in our section of the North Hall, but then day two, we were slammed!” reported SJT President Tim Smith. “People love inexpensive wall décor and SJT’s sell really well, and we have by far the largest selection, so that’s why we were so busy. Plus retailers like the fact [that] ours are made in the USA.”

SJT is looking forward to exhibiting again at the July/August ASD show. (For more information, call 440-617-1100 ext. 101.)
